Yourpilotincommand Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 I have an IO360-A1A. During my last annual my mechanic used a Tempest this time around. I later discovered this. I’d rather ask for general opinions here on these oil filters. Thanks Quote

They have the pre-lubed gasket, which is nice, but are generally very good filters. 3 Quote
Paul Thomas Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 If you really want to go down a rabbit hole, Van's Air Force users bought several filters and sent them to a lab to see which one is the "best". Quote
GeeBee Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 I use Tempest, but the reality is very few filters are installed long enough to make a difference as a result of their individual design advantages. Quote

So what was the result? I’ve done a little looking myself and from memory the Champion filters a little finer or claims to. I don’t use Champion anything myself, I don’t think it’s worth the price Quote
