I like the bigger size of this so I am not asking about anything other than the M20G.

Anything I should be aware of with the limited number of them that were made? Issues getting parts or do they share a lot with other long body models?

What about the engine? Any issues getting parts or cylinders for it? I know years ago the -A1A narrow deck had issues being found, so wasn't sure if that might also be the case for this one.

Any thing else I should be aware of? Good, bad or just different? The last Mooney I owned as an M20A.

Thanks for all the help!

The airframe is the same as an F model of the same vintage and the engine should be a wide deck Lycoming O360 A1D which is a very common Mooney engine.  No special concerns getting parts.

I appreciate that. I figured that was the case but just wanted to check and make sure. Of course there are a lot of you in here with so much knowledge.

One thing to be aware of is that MTOW is only 2525 lb and fuel tanks are 52 gal total (F is 2740 and 64).

Good luck

I have owned a G-model in the early 2000s, same as a C, fuselage just a tad longer, a little slower than the C, at the time I did all the available speed mods, max TAS went from 137 to 155 KT, when the gear actuator went up in smoke I replaced it with a J-model actuator, there was a Mooney kit for this. Biggest item to look for is leaking tanks and corrosion of the fuselage tubes below the side windows and corrosion of the stub spar. The nose gear is fragile, check for dents in the truss, 1/32" is the max.
