MikeOH Posted April 21, 2024 Report Posted April 21, 2024 Parker/Lord application guide says 4 each J9613-12 Mooney IPC shows 4 each J9612-8 and 4 each J7763-1 So, it looks like the J9613-12 is made up of both sides but I can't seem to confirm they are J9612-8 and J7763-1 or?? Does anyone have a cite to know for sure if the J9613-12 is correct? TIA Quote

Their parts people are very good and will be able to help. A bonus for you is that they are in El Segundo. 4 1 Quote
MikeOH Posted April 21, 2024 Author Report Posted April 21, 2024 @Shadrach Thank you! I'll give 'em a call tomorrow. 1 Quote
MikeOH Posted April 22, 2024 Author Report Posted April 22, 2024 OK, I called Herber and they couldn't answer the question...but, they gave me Parker/Lord's phone: 877-275-5673. As suspected, the J9613-12 is an assembly number; each containing the J9612-8 and the J7763-1. Unfortunately, they could not provide any direct documentation for that. However, they pointed out that each part is marked with its part number; so, no real issue. Just have to verify the correct parts that match the Mooney maintenance manual part numbers come in the J9613-12 'kit'. Quote

I tried to find Parker/Lord's technical support number for my previous post but could not find it online. Did you get pricing from Herber? Quote

Did you get pricing from Herber? The phone number that I put in my earlier post got me to someone at Lord that answered my question, but not sure how 'technical' they were. Basically, they did a 'where used' in their inventory system using the two Mooney part numbers and both came back as 'used on' the J9613-12. No, I have not called Herber back to ask pricing now that I know the J9613-12 is the correct part number. I will repost after I have the price. I did find the J9613-12 online from Airpower for $192.63; Spruce wants $243.75 Quote

All online stock was listed at $165 or more. 1 Quote

MikeOH Posted April 29, 2024 Author Report Posted April 29, 2024 @Shadrach Herber wants $239.44 each plus 3% credit card fee plus you have to have shipping account with a carrier; they won’t bill the shipping! Looks like AirPower is lowest at $192.63 and doesn’t penalize you for using a credit card. Quote

Not close enough for you to go in and write a check or was the stock not in El Segundo? I have a corporate FedEx and PS account, but I do not recall having to use them. I'll have to review the invoice to see if that policy is new. I recall the 3% but the price delta from the next most competitive seller ($101 vs $138 each) was so large that that the 3% transaction fee of $33 on 11 shock discs was a no brainer. Quote

They were willing to do will-call but can’t handle payment at the time of pick up; need to pay in advance and I suspect they’d wait until the check cleared before releasing product. If AirPower’s shipping is exorbitant I may call Herber back and see if they’ll match price and if the 3% credit card fee factored in results in lower overall. Quote
