Rlass Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 Hello everyone, has anyone else had issues with the Oxygen System in the 231? Specifically the regulator and/or the oxygen compensating unit of the oxygen system? The part number for the OCU is 801765-00.
PeteMc Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 Never had a problem with mine, that I know of. I use the Oxymizer cannula, so I monitor the flow with their built in gauge.
jlunseth Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 Mine has worked really well. The valve leaked years ago but that was fixed and it can sit for months without losing pressure. Understand that there is a change of the pressure reading by the gauge as OAT changes. Pressure goes up on a hot day and down when it is cold. Here in MN the difference can be substantial. But it does not mean there is a problem with the system.
Scott Ashton Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 It’s a Scott/Avox altitude compensating regulator - the altitude compensator can be very finicky and is expensive to replace if it’s bad. When was the last time the system was bench tested? Do you have a flow meter that you use with your cannula? That will tell you f you are getting enough flow….
Z W Posted March 9, 2024 Report Posted March 9, 2024 I've had problems with most of the system, but not the regulator. It's a pretty simple system actually, just lots of places leaks can develop. Currently have all the leaks fixed. What's the problem with yours?
