skipswift Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 Anyone have one of these they're willing to part with? Thanks in advance. Quote
EricJ Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 Aircraft spruce has them, supposedly in stock. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/avpages/eltsystemRemote.php 1 Quote
Bolter Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 I upgraded my ELT to 406. I will see what P/N switch I have leftover with the old ELT. Probably on the weekend. -dan Quote
KSMooniac Posted October 27, 2023 Report Posted October 27, 2023 They have a watch battery in them... You might check that first! Sent from my motorola edge plus 2023 using Tapatalk 1 Quote

I have the vertically installed version. P/N 450004. In support of what @KSMooniac points out, this has a battery (in the remote switch) replacement date of June 2023 that I never knew was there, until now. You can have the switch for the cost of FedEx shipping. PM me to discuss if you are interested. Reminder, this is the vertically installed version, the the text is not the same direction. Quote

IIRC the vertical text is on the other side of that thin piece of plastic. Just flip it over for vertical installations. 1 Quote
skipswift Posted November 6, 2023 Author Report Posted November 6, 2023 Anyone know what the difference is between e-01-04 and e-01-05? I can't find any info online about e-01-05 but that's the version I have that I need to replace. Quote
65MooneyPilot Posted November 11, 2023 Report Posted November 11, 2023 The 406 ELT RCPI has a test button in the reset button to test the ELT. If you didn’t, you also need to install the beeper module which also has a battery. When you test the ELT it will sound the beeper with one beep if all is good and multiple beeps if something is wrong. Quote
