dcastor Posted May 1, 2023 Report Posted May 1, 2023 Is this a Mooney part original to plane or did a previous owner add it? Quote

I think that comes from the aviation aisle at Office Depot. On serial numbers 1 - 180 (I see that yours is number 27-0170) on the M20M there was an opening metal "box" with a hinge at the bottom to store the POH, pens, etc. It looks like yours has been removed. (On the first 52 M20Ms there was a late 80’s Flight calculator on a hinge as seen in the drawing.) BAS aircraft parts out in Colorado had a used one of these for sale for awhile - they may still have it. They also have a newer style one for sale. This one is from an ovation and would just need to be slightly modified to acceopt your cowl flaps switch These are my favorite pen holders: https://www.amazon.com/Manganese-Organizer-Adjustable-Refrigerator-Whiteboard/dp/B083NZ9T61/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3GHGQXFFMYQB8&keywords=single+pen+holder+for+car&qid=1682938278&sprefix=single+pen+holder+for+car%2Caps%2C171&sr=8-6 By the way I see that you base at KGFK. I got my private there in 1986. Quote
