Aerodon Posted November 15, 2021 Report Posted November 15, 2021 I came across this page in the parts manual. I installed something similar in a C172 back in the day when USB converters and other electronics were a bit sensitive to voltage. A dropping resistor on a cigar lighter does drop the voltage for light loads. Does anyone know where Mooney installed these, and what they were used for? Cigar lighter? Avionics? Speedbrakes? N231BN Posted November 15, 2021 Report Posted November 15, 2021 That's a portable 24/12v converter with cigarette lighter plugs and sockets. Quote
