toto Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 This is a very simple, not new idea … but a nice addition to the mooney.com home page that makes clear there’s a lot of these planes flying. This is just linked from https://mooney.com/ and points to FlightAware, but has a time parameter and a custom id in the url that I won’t try to recreate here. Anyway, good work to the Mooney PR team. This is a nice idea. 2 Quote
LevelWing Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 Pretty neat. I'd be among those in the air if it wasn't currently in annual. As a side note, has anyone joined the Mooney forum, "Air Traffic?" Quote
David Lloyd Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 There are a few more in the air, Flightaware only shows aircraft on IFR flight plans, 1090 ADSB transponder returns, a few VFRs squawking and talking to center, and some 978 ADSB (not many 978 receivers out there). Still, it is fun to look at every now and then. Most Mooneys I have ever seen in flight was about 125. Quote
carusoam Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 I visited the Mooney site and clicked the button only yesterday… I also sent a pic to the Mooney of the Month contest…. I’m still trying to dethrown Erik’s Pi-Plane… The Pi-Plane is an awesome Mooney. So Awesome, it’s been Mooney of the Month for a few quarters already… Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
mcarterak Posted August 7, 2021 Report Posted August 7, 2021 Cool, but it's only set to show M20P model code. That's only non-turbocharged models. M20T includes all the turbo birds. Quote

I also am working the angle, anything ending in EB. 1 Quote
kortopates Posted August 8, 2021 Report Posted August 8, 2021 Easy fix to include both M20P and M20T, but long link: https://flightaware.com/live/flex_bigmap.rvt?search=-type M20**&time=1624722420&key=1f8bf9a5abbb6070c6f84fc8d4d1ff26eb3e2a08&title=Mooney M-20 (piston-single) (M20P) ✈ Aircraft Type Quote
