Mooney Summit VIII Postponed

Hello Everyone:

 

Today, the Board of Directors of Mooney Summit, Inc. met specifically to determine the feasibility to conduct the Mooney Summit VIII on Oct 16th-18th in Tampa, Fl. It was determined that while there are not hard guidelines to govern when social gatherings will be permitted, that we would practice what we preach and error on the side of caution by postponing the Mooney Summit VIII until we have clear guidelines. Once that occurs, we will reschedule the event. Practically speaking we do not foresee this happening in 2020. We will notify each of you as soon as practical when we anticipate the Mooney Summit VIII to be conducted.

 

For those who registered early, we sincerely appreciate your early registration for the Mooney Summit VIII. How would you like us to disposition the registration fee you have paid and any additional donation you have already made this year? We are offering you these options:

 

1.       Apply your registration fee and any additional donation to the next Mooney Summit.

2.       Receive a refund of your registration fee. Apply any additional donation to the next Mooney Summit.

3.       Receive a full refund.

 

Please reply to rick.junkin@mooneysummit.com with your choice of Option 1, Option 2, or Option 3 and Rick will disposition your funds as you request.

Received the email and emailed Rick. Thank you to you, Rick, Mike, and everyone else in the Mooney Summit for all you do for the Mooney community. Looking forward to whenever it is rescheduled to. 

Side note for everyone else. Please  leave any politics out of this thread so it doesn't get locked down lock the AirVenture thread.

We still plan on Tampa, hosted at Peter O'Night Airport (TPF) and the Barrymore Hotel.  Once we have new dates determined we'll post the booking link for the the hotel.  We still plan to hold an uncapped Mooney Summit VIII thus allowing all attendees that wish to attend the space to do so.

We are very open to this as well.  Individuals have already suggested this and if they want to can do so when they contact Rick.  We just thought with the current circumstances, it wouldn't be prudent to simply announce that.  The generosity of the attendees of the Mooney Summit is humbling.
