1974 mooney m20c yoke

Welcome aboard, Easab.

The yoke systems are interchangeable...

It becomes how much are you willing to pay to get that done...

Finding the hardware is doable...

And getting them wrapped in leather would be the easy part...

Expect to have to find the new larger shafts with the newer yokes and all the hardware that attaches and supports them...

We have a few people around here that are in the used equipment business, if you want to pursue the project...

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic...

Best regards,

Here's what nice yokes look like in an M20C.

Here's what you do...

  1. You'll need new shafts. Buy from Mooney through your favorite MSC. Expect to pay approximately $700 each. And wait about 6 weeks for them to be produced.
  2. Find suitable yokes. These are often available on eBay, Barnstormers, or one of the well known salvage dealers such as @Alan Fox
  3. Send the yokes to AeroComfort in San Antonio for leather covering and stitching. $800 to $1000 for the pair.
  4. Get it all installed and wired up by your local A&P or Avionics shop. $500 to $1000.

Once it's done and the money is spent... you'll know it was worth every penny.
