jetdriven Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 I read somehwere the accessory case muxt be changed to a different type and it is over 3,000$. Plus the labor to swap out the cases (engine has to come off the mount) , and then you have to but two mags and harnesses. Not cheap. Quote
Bill_Pyles Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 So, basically 10% of the price of a new engine with two independent mags. Nice. Quote
Skybrd Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Quote: Bill_Pyles I have an IO360A3B6D like a lot of us. So what is the "best" upgrade path if I want to get away from the dual mag? Where would I get the new hardware and can any competant A&P install it or should I find a MSC to do it? I live in Phoenix. Quote
jetdriven Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 A TBO engine does not necessarily cause high oil temps. We just installed the A3B6 enigne. Fire it up tomorrow. Quote
rgpilot Posted August 13, 2012 Report Posted August 13, 2012 The mag will fail quickly if the capacitor is not well grounded. Make sure the threads are clean and the capacitor is in tight. Quote
