Our last meeting was interesting.

The weather was reasonable, but the forecast was bad. We had 9 Mooneys bring 19 people to lunch at Winter Haven, but it was the quickest lunch we ever had. Everyone had eaten and left by 1 PM with the exception of the one person who arrive just as the rest of use were leaving.

Our next event will be at the River Bend Golf Cafe at Ormond Beach (OMN). If you don't know where it is, ask the FBO and they will point it out. It is a real short walk from the FBO.

Future Events are all on the second Saturday of the month:

June 11, Ormond Beach (OMN) River Bend Golf Cafe

July 9, Flagler (XFL) Hi Jackers

August 13, Lakeland (LAL), Air Harts Runway Cafe

September, 10, New Symrna Beach, EVB, McCharacters Bar & Grill

October 8, Spruce Creek, 7FL6.

All events start at 11:30. Please E-mail Dave (daveanruth@aol.com) by Thursday night and let him know you're planning on coming. He can then call the restaurant on Friday with a head count. Of course you're not obligated to attend if you can't can't make it for mechanical, weather, health, or any other reason.

Hope to see you soon,

Dave, Ruth and Gary

Gary- What time do you want to get going Saturday?

Also, are you driving up or flying? If flying you can put 49GH in hangar.

Unfortunately I will be at work flying the EMS helicopter. I wonder if the front office would get upset if I took it from Bartow to Ormond?

Joe...where at your public airport can we leave our planes without some hysterical flight shool guy running out insisting he "owns" the tarmac?

I think the above post is from Mike, not Scott.

About 1,250 in my J, over 1,600 in Mooneys, and around 4,000 overall. You can still fly left seat legally, I'll file an IFR flight plan and be your safety pilot. I'm not an CFII, but I've played one many times. ;-)

Hey Joe- I have a single access panel that is bare metal located under the cowling.  Any chance of getting it painted the same color blue you did the rest of the plane?

It appears you bought your aircraft from our good friend Bob Pape. We painted it in March/April 2008. If we are correct the blue is AcryGlo Royal Blue No. 00244. We do have that color in stock. Depending on when you arrive, we could get it done while you wait. The earlier the better. We should be here by 8.

We are located at the base of the rotating beacon. You may park on the ramp in front of our hangars.
