DaV8or Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 I just have to say, that the rusty tube thing is a bit over blown. As a buyer, I think inspection and complience with SB208B is important and changing the insulation, sealing your windows and treating surface rust is worthwhile. However, in the history of all Mooneys, there has never been and doubt there ever will be an incident, or accident causing any injury (other than to the pocketbook) as a result of tubing failure. That's why it's an SB and not an AD. Tell me, which one of these tubes is going to fail and cause the airplane to uncontrolably fall from the sky? Quote
Cris Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 One point to consider with long-range tanks is that it gives you the opportunity to purchase larger quantities of fuel at a less expensive FBO then perhaps your home base. Useful for those local flights. Quote
