First landing on my flight review, the instructor didn't realize we were down yet. One tire rolled on at a time. Landing on all that used airline rubber couldn't have had anything to do with it being so smooth, right? The fun part was on the first takeoff, I raised the gear and we were climbing out nicely about 300-400' agl, and he asked if I was gonna raise the gear? Dropping it to land, I made sure to let him know when I lowered the switch, and when the gear thumped down. It's so fun watching people's eyes bug out. 1

steingar Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 I did that the other day too, though I wouldn't call what I did a landing. Airplane is still useable, more or less. At least it wasn't the worst landing I ever did. Actually, I shouldn't beat myself up too bad. I landed a stiff crosswind on one wheel, which isn't bad after 6 months of not flying anything. 1 1
