FBCK Posted November 22, 2017 Report Posted November 22, 2017 I own a 1981 M20k and it has STC seats that allows them to recline like later models 231s and 252 had (split bucks). I recently had the interior redone by two different groups and the gent that was finishing the project never saw the seats come out and although it looks simple I dont want to speculate on the proper reassembly method. Would anyone have the stc papers or now what he proper method is. Does the toothed part of the seat just sit on the U-Hook, and I have four of these screws, do they go into the hole in the bracket below , similar to the screw in front of the toothed part bracket. I dont have the STC paperwork unfortunately.
CaptRJM Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 I have them. Not a STC but a factory option. I’d take pics for you but I’m in South America right now. I know the parts manual has the exploded diagram which will help you figure it out.
johnbkeck Posted November 23, 2017 Report Posted November 23, 2017 eisenhard.net is a link from old MS forum. It is to fold seat forward but not recline back like you were looking for.
FBCK Posted November 25, 2017 Author Report Posted November 25, 2017 Found the Form 337 paper work, not an stc and then my AME sent me a picture from the parts manual. Look like the gent doni the seat covered to holes in the seat backs with leather so I didn't see the holes to connect the seat back to the frame...problem solved. Thanks all
