AZM20C Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 I have not been able to use the claw style clamp on the yoke because it runs into the knob on the heading Indicator. I even Ground the claw down so it was more narrow and in the full aft position on the yoke. I came up with another solution that works for me. I hope someone else may benefit from this or a variation of this if you are having the same problem. I used 3/4" square tubing on the seat rail. I made a lengthwise cut so it would slide onto the seat rail. I used 1/4" round rod and threaded the end (1/4-20 threads) to accept the Mygoflight flexible arm. I tapped two holes on the square tubing so I could use 2 - 1" bolts to snug the mount to the seat rail. I used a strip of aluminum as a shim so the bolts would not mar the rail. 1 Quote
TheTurtle Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 cool. how about a non sideways picture with the ipad actually in it? Does the bar not get in the way of your hand using the trim? How solid is the upright bar? it doesnt flex around to much? Quote
Raptor05121 Posted August 1, 2017 Report Posted August 1, 2017 I have the yoke mount RAM clamped onto the actual right side of the yoke's horizontal bar, and the RAM short arm headed back center of the yoke. Works quite well for my 10" tablet. Quote

I think a slightly larger diameter rod (5/16") would be a better choice than 1/4" rod, I had no problem working the trim wheel. It took a little adjusting finding the right height however. When it was too high it felt awkward using the throttle-prop-mixture controls. When it's too low it's harder to see the detail on the iPad mini screen. 2 Quote
carolinaflying Posted August 3, 2017 Report Posted August 3, 2017 Since I already feel like a clown squeezing into his car, how have you found entry/exit with this setup? Quote
