ryoder Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 The airplane didn't come with a fuel level dipstick like all the other Cessnas I have flown. I don't want to go through the trouble of calibrating a one size fits all hawk dipstick. Isn't there a M20C stick? I haven't found one yet so I fly with full fuel.
scottfromiowa Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 There is a thread on this. I did measurements and listed. Look for it. On a standard wood paint stick.
Andy95W Posted July 24, 2014 Report Posted July 24, 2014 Found the thread: http://mooneyspace.com/topic/1037-calibrated-fuel-sticks/?hl=%2Bfuel+%2Btank+%2Bdipstick+%2Bmeasurements#entry10560 What a great idea. Gonna make a one and save the $20 for the Universal dipstick. I have been just keeping track of tach time, since I seem to consistently burn 10 gal/hr. Doesn't really seem to matter if it's local sightseeing or a cross country, I can estimate the fuel I need to top off +/- 1 gal.
