Mid America Propeller -- Mountain View, AR

The prop (2 blade Hartzell) on my '67 F had been throwing grease for awhile and hadn't been opened up for several years. I knew it was getting time for a service, but I didn't intend to do a full overhaul. I just wanted it inspected, cleaned, re-sealed, and re-greased; a basic IRAN service.

I called Cody Stallings at Mid America Propeller in Mountain View, Arkansas. Cody frequents the forums here, and their shop flies an F model Mooney for company travel, including pick up and return of props. Cody understood exactly what I wanted, agreed to an IRAN, and we agreed to a schedule of no more than one week from pick up to delivery of my prop. His rates for pick up and delivery using their shop Mooney are very reasonable in my opinion. He also suggested stripping and repainting the blades since it had been awhile since the last service of my prop, which I think was a good idea both for better inspection of the blades and to spruce up the appearance. It looks almost like a new prop now.

I'm writing this to recognize Cody and his shop for providing exactly the service that was agreed to, three days ahead of schedule. This seems to be hard to find sometimes in aviation. Based on my experience with their work on my propeller, I definitely recommend Mid America for prop re-seal / IRAN.
