I recently changed out my factory EGT gauge with a used one. The old one was jittery. This gauge shows my peek temp when leaning considerably higher than the old. What peeks do others see at 7 to 10k feet? My gauge is in centigrade.

I recently updated my Nav/Strobe Lights to LED's due to a strobe tube going out. After learning the cost of one strobe tube is $240.00 I made the change. As a result I have 2 strobe power packs, 2 nav light assemblies and one working strobe tube for sale. One of the power packs is a Hoskins and may very well be the original. It still works, but does have a slightly bulging capacitor. The other power pack is a Whelen A490TCF and is in new like condition. Both nav lights work and the housing is in good condition. If you are interested in any of these parts E-Mail me at Nessnc@gmail.com.

This evening or first thing in the morning I will be driving down to Northern Cali for a few days to look at hopefully 3 201's. And was wondering if anyone might know any history on any of them, or what questions you might want to know from the ads? I asked about the useful load and a few other simple questions. The best part two of them are very close to LASAR and the other one is there. I have talked to the sellers and they are good with me taking them to LASAR for the ppi if either one of them gets that far. So I know I'm in good hands in that regard. The one at LASAR I might ask to take to Top Gun or another reputable mechanic in the area. Hopefully me driving about 17 hours round trip will let them know I'm much more than just kicking tires. They might just think I'm crazy for driving all that way. I'm sure when I get back I won't want to get back in a car for a long time, or look at another plane. Okay who am I kidding I'll still look at Mooneys... http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MOONEY-M20J-201/1978-MOONEY-M20J-201/1382205.htm?dlr=1&pcid=18079 This one ^ is only VFR certified at this time, but has a useful load of 1007lbs. Everything but the storm scope seems to be working. I have looked over the logs and there is a lot of maintenance done by Top Gun. But it has had two engine overhauls, both due to fuel contamination. The last done by Ly-con in 2005. http://www.trade-a-plane.com/detail/aircraft/Single+Engine+Piston/1978/Mooney/M20J+201/2078940.html This one only has a useful load of 980lbs. The seller has all the logs but they are not posted on the ad for me to look through yet. It does have a gear up in 2003. http://www.lasar.com/w/id/187/new-plane-details.asp This one is obviously the one at LASER. I have talked to someone that has flown it and he tells me it is in great shape and is very fast. The only down side it well I'm an Oregon State Beaver and the green would just have to go...... I will appropriate any info anyone has, or pm's
