  1. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!! One thing’s for certain, pilots know about making critical decisions like: “Should I file an ASRS Report (Aviation Safety Reporting System) for a mistake I made today, or shouldn’t I?” This one has an easy, predetermined answer, ABSOLUTELY YES, file it!!! Having a Mission Rule for such things either on the ground, or in the air provides a pre-cooked answer or takes much of the ambiguity out of it. Register for MooneyMAX 2022 Conference right away! Gain some great information from Mr. Richard Simile, he is the President of Thunderbird Aircraft Sales, and has 45 years in aviation. Mr. Simile is a Mooney Specialist and has been associated with the sale of Mooney Airplanes for 30+ years and he is well known in the Mooney community. Experience Mr. Simile’s dynamic presentation on “Aeronautical Decision Making Related to NASA Mission Rules.” This is a safety presentation about Mooney Aircraft and Pilot Decision Making. This presentation focuses on solidifying "Mission Rules" directly related to mandatory resolution actions in the event of an emergency OR situation that might lead a pilot toward a continuingly deteriorating situation unless a predetermined decision (Mission Rule) is followed which would break the chain of events leading to an incident or accident. We hope you can make...........MooneyMAX 2022 Registration and Tickets MooneyMAX 2022 Conference Richard A. 2. Heard horror stories about Mooney spins? Think you have the “right stuff” or the nerve to try one? Before making that crucial decision check with Mr. Bob Kromer, Mooney Factory Development and Certification Engineering Test Pilot and former Mooney Factory Executive VP and General Manager, will be one of our very special speakers at MooneyMAX 2022. Kromer will be presenting a special session on the REAL TRUTH about Mooney spins. As one of the test pilots for Mooney during development and certification, he HAD the “Right Stuff.” It’s our understanding that old films from the 60’s of the actually spin testing will be pulled out of mothballs and shown. You don’t want to miss this! Be sure and register today and plan to attend MooneyMAX 2022. Just one of the many great presenters this year. "Don’t let the dry title fool you. Single-Pilot IFR Pro Tips by Gary Reeves is a lively read full of unconventional wisdom.
Reeves, the FAA’s 2019 Certificated Flight Instructor of the Year and the force behind PilotSafety.org is a thoroughly knowledgeable, insightful, and memorable teacher who backs up his recommendations with real-world examples. I’ve flown with Reeves, and he’s got encyclopedic knowledge of IFR procedures; he’s a wizard with aviation technology; and if you ask him nicely, he won’t wear the Pepto-Bismol pink shirts that have become a hallmark in his videos and live presentations.
Reeves is a highly sought-after instructor and lecturer. Reading his book is like taking a two-hour lesson with him—and that makes the book’s $29.95 price seem like a bargain."

  8. So very sad to have Jerry leave us. He was one of the greats. Prayers for Ethel and the family.
  9. Don, Paul and our crew worked all today finishing up their part of the Predator project and getting is ready for new paint. Predator will not only be at the June conference but will be flying that weekend. Also, our Mooney Mustang project will be complete, on display and flying. I just have to keep the coals stoked under their feet to keep them working.
  10. Let's just hope all this will pass in time for West Coast Mooney trip. Looks like we will be flying the Missile to Sun River. J
  11. Sad notice to have to send: Due to ongoing concerns regarding the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and after discussions with attendees and exhibitors the decision has been made to cancel the MooneyMAX Conference this year. The health and wellbeing of the Mooney community is our main concern and all are in our prayers. Don Maxwell Aviation Service Center, however, will continue to be open for all services during this trying time. As always, we will strive to accommodate all owners with their Mooney maintenance needs. Give us a call for any assistance. Let's all hope this virus thing will be behind us all before Air Venture 2020. See everyone at Oshkosh! From this Mooney family to our beloved Mooney community, stay safe and well.
  12. Great ideas and agree. As to #8: MooneyMAX is a non-profit formed specifically for Mooney education. MooneyMAX 2020 will be a 3-day educational Conference for Mooney owners of all models the first of May. Returning and confirmed guest speakers are Mike Busch, Bob Minnis, Bob Kromer, Jimmy Garrison, and others. NO pilot knows EVERYTHING! Aviation education and knowledge of our Mooney’s should be a constant goal. Would love to hear ideas and suggestions of areas owners would like covered.
  13. Don, Paul and I will be at Oshkosh all week!
  14. Maybe...watch for announcements. Of course, I'm out of this venture. I have enough on my plate and keep trying to retire. LOL But GMax is off and running.
