  1. I need to replace the gasket between the exhaust housing and the turbo and I can't find a parts manual. Does anyone know where to find a manual or a link to the manual? Or have have the gasket or where to get parts for the turbo? Turbo PN: 3AT6EE10J2 Thanks
  2. If you're looking for a FIKI plane its only the later model Bravo, Ovation or an Acclaims that have that option. (not sure if the 252's and Encores were available) The turbo models will also get you above the weather at at least 1000ft/min when needed.
  3. I just noticed that there's a 231 that's been properly modified on Controller that seems to be at a very good price. It's Canadian registered however that's relatively easy to change to an N registry. (I have no affiliation with that buyer)
  4. What's your mission for the plane? Are you going to just go for $100 hamburgers or is it for business over 500 miles 10 times a year? That should help determine which model to buy. Controller gives a pretty good idea of the market. Before Covid there were approximately 90-100 Mooneys for sale, then during Covid the demand increased and the number for sale decreased from 40-50 and the prices went up substantially for everything. This morning there's 95 for sale so the demand is lower and the prices should be going down soon. There's a few ad's showing that the plane has been listed for two years so they're probably overpriced and/or have something wrong with them. I've owned a J, an M and now a K and they all fit different missions. After the initial costs of bringing them up to your standard or your upgrades (such as deferred maintenance and avionics) they all cost different amounts to maintain. Fuel per hour is roughly 60% higher in the Bravo then the K or the J but you do go faster and it's great to fly. It sounds like you have the time to wait and buy, so find the one you want and hopefully the pricing will be right.
  5. As I mentioned before I tried to contact them but they never returned my calls, emails or texts
  6. I used an adhesive silicone. Just enough of a dab in the recess to hold it in. I wasn't sure what the factory used but it's similar what I had to scrape out when it was taken out. From Amazon: Moeller Marine Mechanical Direct Sight Fuel Tank Read Capsule,White,One,035759-10
  7. Just received and installed the boat gauge from Amazon. It's plastic and doesn't show gallons but it will work until the actual ones are available. I had to trim the ears off and have sealed around the top edge with a transparent sealant. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B000MTCRBO?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details The US Amazon site is substantially less Moeller Marine Mechanical Direct Sight Fuel Tank Read Capsule,White,One,035759-10
  8. When I was in Don Maxwell's shop last year they had one that they were working on. Not sure if they've finished it yet but thought it would be a cheap to purchase pressurized aircraft. (expensive to operate ?) Does anyone know what the cabin pressure is or what the in cabin altitude is at it's ceiling?
  9. I just checked and the 28v battery is still available through our supplier (Mississauga Hardware) as well as through Amazon
  10. Other than being in a K model these are the same as what I have. It has a different STC than the electric or vacuum type too. They aren't anodized but look like they were painted the same colour as the plane.
  11. These are completely manual so it has a lever beside the trim wheel on the floor. The lever attaches to a cable which connects to two individual cables which each control the left and right wing speed brake. I've a call into Precise flight but as of now they don't know and I'm waiting for someone that may.
  12. I have a 1980 M20K with Precise Flight manual speed brakes and unfortunately it doesn't have any annunciating of when the brakes are out. Does anyone know if there's an annunciator available or has anyone made one that has been approved? Yes I know I can just look out to confirm they're down.
  13. The engine has 1100 hours on it so if there is anything shown in the pre-buy an IRAN to the engine may help out with the cost. Definitely needs a pre-buy to get an honest assessment of the engine.
  14. I just tried to order from this site but was unable to get a confirming text from them. Has anyone bought from them before?
  15. Well Rich, just don't like waisting my money so I thought I'd ask a reasonable question. I appreciate your effort in finding a facsimile
  16. They have the same ones on Amazon as eBay but before I buy them I wanted to check to see if they will actually fit and work before I spend any money on them. Not to mention if there's work to do on them other than removing the tabs.
  17. I just received an email from Rochester and they don't have any in stock. Rich have you installed this unit in your 231? Other than cutting the tabs off, were there any other modifications needed?
  18. Thanks everyone
  19. I'd like t get $1K US for it and I'm open to offers. Includes shipping by ground. sdawson630@gmail.com Thanks
  20. It is the V clamp with Rivets:
  21. The V clamp is still in the original unopened bag and I'll take better pictures tomorrow morning and post them.
  22. I have a new Bravo Turbo V clamp as well as a used one that's in good shape with no apparent cracks. How much are they worth? PN NH1009399-10
  23. I had similar wants for my 231. I have a KFC 200 with an Aspen Max but currently have KI 525a driving it. The only option I found was to install Aspens ACU 100 and replace the KI525a with either a Garmin G5 or GI 275 then remove the vacuum system, Then instal Aspen's APS4 to use with the Aspen for a altitude pre-select
  24. Billy if you do decide to add the MFD 1000 max can you update us on the cost including about to instal it? I have a PFD pro max and have considered it or adding a Garmin GI 271 instead for future use with a G3X or G500txi Thanks
  25. I had my Bravo tanks resealed at Edison's. He was on time and close to his original budget. The two fuel drains were corroded so they had to be replaced which added extra costs but it was acceptable. When the tank access covers were removed the bare head of the screws would now show. Jimmy Garrison suggested using Don and Paul Maxwell to paint the top of the wings and they did excellent work which made the wings look better than new
