    So I saw this and was wondering if anyone has seen the actual product? Also can this replace the fuel gauges? Looks pretty neat and nice and compact plus the price is not terrible.

    I cant believe we survived playing outside period....with all that sun exposure, dirt, disease, dangerous play equipment, god I drank out of the garden hose....like all the time, rode bikes without helmets, elbow pads, knee pad, gloves, played contact sports, ect....its a wonder I am here to type on this....oh yea wait....we were tougher back then. Kids today are weak and most parents are Hover parents.....Don't get me started on video games.....LOL

    I know aircraft and car engines are different but is it because these engines use 70 year old technology that they require a break in? My 2014 car just works.....heck my 2002 car worked with no special oil or breakin and ran fine for 11 years. Just seems like our aircraft engines should not be as finiky as they are. Back in the day did you have to break in a 57 Chevy?

    Yup the aircraft will fly just fine.....and probably safer with the 430 then with whatever was in it before......

    And this is why general aviation is dying. Lets see same box in an experimental installed by someone with unknown skills and the aircraft can still fly IFR??? Enough is enough with the whole certified aircraft crap and its time to using some damn common sense.

    My Amp meter is inop and I was told there are two online fuses. Where are they located? I think I can see one of them. Another question is why use two??

    From what I was understanding was that with the new Part 23 you could be able to put non certified parts in certified planes.....something about if the aircraft is old and for personal use only.....my fingers are crossed.....but not holding my breath.

    I was specifically thinking about the numerous autopilots that are 1/3 the price of the Stec. Not to bash Stec but 14K for a pretty basic autopilot seems a bit excessive....

    Hey quick question for you guys......I read that experimental avionics will be allowed in certified planes as long as some certain criteria are met. Is this true and if so when will this become effective? -Ray

    I just use a 1000W space heater from walmart. 20 minutes and the cabin is nice and toasty. Cost was 19.99 plus an extension cord. Usually I will pull the plane out and have the extension cord running to the plane....I sit in my car and then after 15-20 mins I hop in quickly and get going.
