  1. Well FedEx destroyed the propeller in shipping. Looks like I 'm getting the full purchase price after all.
  2. Wow that's a good price. I will never give up my KNS80. I love it
  3. I have one but not sure of the condition. I will look
  4. Still have it. Going to post a couple picks.
  5. I have one painted if the first doesn't work out.
  6. No trades sorry. Looks like I'm going to put it on my "J". Last call. Any offers?
  7. Yep still have the prop. A couple people want it but as of now no one has pulled the trigger.
  8. The STC comes with the prop. Yes it fits the 201. After installation just have a local "IA" file a 337 on the STC. No biggie. I wish I could keep it for my Mooney but you know.....just glad to be in the air.
  9. I have a Scimitar Top Prop with under 150 hrs that was removed from a M20 due to a imcompatibility issue with a 337 that was installed on the Aircraft. This is a good opportunity to obtain one of these for a reduced price. New Propeller with Back Plate and Spinner is 9500. I am asking 7500. If Interested please dont hesitate to call Sean 813-817-4547 Thanks.... http://www.hartzellprop.com/top_prop_details.php?id=104
  10. Most FBO's don't make much if any on GA. The Turbine's pretty much pay for single engine guys even to exist. The small fee's that most charge is simply a means of survival.
  11. Nice find. I wish that was the standard. I work at SRQ and it's 5.80
  12. Quote: Piloto EMERGENCY AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE Aircraft Certification Service Washington, DC U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration We post Emergency ADs on the internet at www.faa.gov/aircraft/safety/alerts. DATE: March 12, 2008 AD #: 2008-06-51 This emergency airworthiness directive (AD) 2008-06-51 is sent to all owners and operators of Lycoming Engines IO, (L)IO, TIO, (L)TIO, AEIO, AIO, IGO, IVO, and HIO series reciprocating engines, Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) TSIO-360-RB reciprocating engines, and Superior Air Parts, Inc. IO-360 series reciprocating engines with certain Precision Airmotive LLC RSA-5 and RSA-10 series fuel injection servos. Background This emergency AD results from eighteen reports of fuel injection servo plugs, part number (P/N) 383493, that had loosened or completely backed out of the threaded plug hole on the regulator cover of the fuel injection servo. These servo plugs were installed with servo plug gasket, P/N 365533, under the plug hex-head. Precision Airmotive LLC investigated and determined that servo plug gasket, P/N 365533, can shrink from engine heat, causing the plug to lose torque against the servo regulator cover, allowing the plug to vibrate out. The threads on the plugs were also found damaged. Servo plug gaskets, P/N 365533, installed on RSA-5 and RSA-10 series fuel injection servos since August 22, 2006, are made of a different material than the previous gasket part number used. This condition, if not corrected, could result in a substantial loss of engine power and subsequent loss of control of the airplane.
  13. Did you use the boost pump on final? If so its most likley not the Engine driven fuel pump. I have seen the engine driven pump fail. Check the drain tube on the pump for fuel drainage. If the diaphragm is torn it will pee. Most likely not your servo. Check for a stamped "G" on the housing for an AD compliance . The Gaskolator will suck air or get stopped up with contaminates. A bad seal at the fuel strainer will allow air to be sucked in and hence fuel starvation. It also could be clogged. There is an alignment pin on the bowl check the pin. Is there any water in the fuel? The IO-360 is pretty simple hope and I hope to give you some ideas to look.
  14. So who was at falt? Was the CRJ pulled up to the gate or just pushed back?
  15. But no Mooney parts......Darn
  16. Went today on sat and pretty much what I expected. No Mooney display at all. I saw three flying in total. That includes myself. Experimentals were thriving though. There getting better every day. I like the mustang Aeronatics. The new Garmins are awsome. I will take the 700series stack.
  17. Worst ever for sure. Sitting on my passes waiting to go fri and now a flipping tornado. I just departed PCM around ten local time south to SRQ when all hell breaks loose. I get a call around twelve saying a tornado hit LAL and moving south. It hits SRQ around two. Moving aircraft sideways! I'm sure hope they open lakeland on fri, that's when I planed on going. Glad no one died.
  18. I learned to fly there and on thursday dropped off a friend. The winds were 270 at 19 and yes the other runway was closed for the race. Its not very long for sure. I made sure to be very slow. Glad no one was hurt to bad.
  19. Just looked it up. I stand corrected. I will close my mouth now. lol
  20. Someone correct me if im wrong but I dont think the odd even rule is for IFR. As for the Bravo ? One day my friend.
  21. Yea there 10,000. I think I will pull a while for that much sheesh.
  22. If in fact your oil really ever got that hot you would see a reduction in oil Pressure. Sometimes Im shocked at how inaccurate these aircraft gadges can be.
  23. Controllers cant flip a rule. Under 3,000 there is no rule. Above its odd or even + 500 VFR. They will sometimes give an even alt but only for traffic. I fly Bravo over 400 times a year...... By the way I talked to your ferry pilot and he is a good guy I know him well.
  24. Quote: Jsavage3 Shadrach, please explain the how & why one needs not worry about contaminants being pulled into the fuel lines when running a Mooney's fuel tank dry. Does the fuel tank design "filter itself" somehow prior to the fuel pickup point?
