    My Butler E certainly flies much slower than it "should", but I have always attributed this to flying exclusively deep LOP and having no interest in leaning "per book".

    I see putting $5K into Mooney as an insurance policy to (hopefully) ascertain the availability of esoteric parts, not an investment. Premium annuals should be the cash cow, and all profits should go into the manufacturing of two dozen key parts and nothing else.

    Corrected for actual landing weight? With 1/4 fuel and no passengers or luggage, my Vs0 is 10 mph lower than book. Actual Vs0 = Vs0(max landing weight) * sqrt(Actual Weight/Max Landing Weight)

    So you are not depressing the brake, but what about the rudder? If you are approaching with rudder input to correct for crosswind, but fail to neutralize rudder input prior to the nose wheel touching down, the plane will inevitably depart the centerline, possibly with noticeable enthusiasm.
