  1. Thank you all for sharing this useful and maybe life saving information. I haven't been around on the space for some while with a simple reason: I bought a mooney bravo! A mechanical good plane with some esthetic work being done. I'm filming and taking pictures of the whole makeover. New seats, carpet , partial respray... I'll make a post about it. Meanwhile a preview... Keep posting!
  2. I saw a YouTube video about the ea100. Seems the ethernet cable is very important. It should have double shielding. One on the outside the other between the pairs. The use of the incorrect cable makes thee autopilot do weird things.
  3. Hi, I am doing the same job. Just started a few weeks ago and I'm also looking for the materials. One very important thing to check is the vacuum tube, it runs along the left side, it looks like a transparent water hose. If it feels oily you should replace it, it can damage the pump. It's a pita but while all is out is easier to replace. You know where you start but not where you end...
  4. Hi all , I'm updating the interior of my bravo and I found that the vacuum tube is very oily. Apparently this needs to be replaced after several years because the oil that the tube releases can ruin the vacuum pump. The only thing that's running on the vacuum pump is the AI , there is an electrical AI backup and there is an Aspen Evolution screen. So I thought instead of replacing the tube, lets get rid of all the vacuum pumps, tubing... The problem is that the autopilot is coupled to the vacuum AI... Any reliable suggestions that dont make me bankrupt? Kind regards Ralph
  5. Hi all , A few months ago I bought a TLS Bravo , thanks to all who gave me some advice regarding the purchase ! The plane is mechanically very sound but it needs some esthetic work. One of them is the interior. Does someone know where to buy a carpet kit. I mailed SCS but they only have floormats for the bravo , they never made a kit. Thanks in advance!
  6. Thank you all for this very useful information! At first it looked quite simple, you put a mask on and there you go... I got really valuable information on this subject, and I don't think I'm alone on this. Keep posting!
  7. My instructor, an airline pilot , would not advise me to go to the higher flight levels , FL 150 plus with oxygen. He thinks it's dangerous , especially above FL200... what do you guys and ladies of course think about this.. do or don't?
  8. My answer : I love CO2 , champagne is full of it , my spumante also by the way... Climate is changing , but I doubt that is due to CO2 and simple just because of this reason: The percentage of CO2 in the air is about 0.04% not 4% , 0.04% and it is changing to 0.05%. I can not believe that 0.01% of increase can cause a climate change... China is building 800 coal energy plants the comming years... Being green is ok , being the greenest will get you a brown color in the end...
  9. Is there any kit available to increase the payload or to lighten the plane? Changing avionics ?
  10. Thank you alle very much , I appreciate your help ! I'll do the match and see what comes out... You all seem to be very happy with your planes , I will take that in consideration too !
  11. Thank you! Is there a turbo normalized version or kit?
  12. Mountains in Switzerland are 10.000 to 12000 ft... I can not open the jpg you attached...
  13. thank you , the problem with the F33 is that the c of g is easily out of limits... how is this with mooney's?
  14. Hi there, I am a helicopter pilot , R44 logged about 400 hours and doing a transition to fixed wing for the moment. I am looking for a plane to travel with my family. Bonanza A36 would be ok, but they are too expensive in my opinion. I looked at a F33 bonanza , turns out that 2 adults , 2 kids and some luggage will ground you.. I want speed , a typical trip would be 450 nautical miles , from Belgium to Italy, yes there are some mountains... Would the M20M TLS do the job ( weights are 200 , 120 and the kids 90 + 90 pounds and some luggage.. ). I would like to have TKS too , weather isn't always or almost never fine here. Is it easy to fly? How about spare parts? Thanks for helping me out !
