im not arguing but as a rocket owner i can tell you that 100lbs on the horizontal will put the tail toward the ground.

I live on a 2000' runway, on this no wind days and 90* x wind days id roll into a river !!!

my rocket seems to use pads too, 100hrs they are done and its possible to kill them in 70 as I did my first year. when the mid body rocket is heavy the brakes are entirely inadequate for an emergency stop or anything like that. I would imagine a long body would be even worse. go and get in a Cessna and apply the same pressure everything in the plane moves forward !!!

i'm surprised you are firm on this. there are some extremely skilled engine builders who have dedicated their life to their craft with an extremely high success rate. theres a huge variation of quality of work, but the factory does not necessarily produce the best engine every-time. i mean no disrespect.

Who does cylinder work like that? maybe drop shipping a set of cylinders makes sense !

Hmmm seems odd- laser cut guides with no team or hone? As a fabricator/machinist that seems insane. No ream? No sizing? Laser cut and go? how does a good valve job eliminate roto-coils ? RAM uses either a nickel overhauled CMI CYLINDER . Or a superior millennium. mom not impressed with superior. I don’t know if cmi would be better.

The procedure would be to top overhaul… theres a lot of information out there that points to catastrophic failure after cylinder replacement.

RAM has been a great wealth of information since this engine is literally plucked from a 340 and transplanted onto the m20k ram also has some really good options for replacement. RAMs legendary engine is a long lead time ( over 6 months) but their value time with nickel cylinders is attractive in price and lead time. still waiting to talk to their service department about topping said engine.
