  1. Made it back to Canada today from Iceland. Vancouver tomorrow.
  2. Done and will add more
  3. Flew Stornoway to Dublin today. Enjoyed whisky at the Jameson distillery
  4. No longer in service
  5. Arrived in EGPO... Dublin tomorrow.
  6. Thank you. I have gone ahead and sent them an email.
  7. Posted a couple of photos. I have some great videos if someone knows the best way for me to upload those. My approach to Nuuk, Greenland, will be the most memorable of my life. Flying with a high broken cloud layer, the sun shining through, flying over a low cloud layer, and a fog bank over the entire runway except for the threshold. Amazing and beautiful. I will be heading to EGPO tomorrow.
  8. Perfect. Thank you.
  9. I had to turn around and come back in had an avionics issue. I quickly resolved it and am now in Iceland.
  10. Currently on the crossing. Track my ident CGJOG or my inreach here https://share.garmin.com/TylerG
  11. So do you think you could land and takeoff in 1600 ft of grass
  12. I would also like to understand the LOP best RPM
  13. I added the STC doc from Minnis showing 2500 as the minimum RPM
  14. Verification Request – Cruise RPM Limitation in 310 HP STC (SA02193CH) I'm seeking clarification regarding a cruise power limitation published in the AFM Supplement for the 310 HP STC (SA02193CH) applied to the Mooney M20R. In a copy of the AFM Supplement (Document SUPP0029, dated 11/14/2017), the Log of Revisions under “Revision B” contains the following entry: > “Revised maximum Cruise RPM to read Minimum Cruise RPM - 2500” Approved by Charles L. Smalley – dated 3/7/2011 I would appreciate it if someone could help verify the accuracy and operational applicability of this change: Is this 2500 RPM considered a minimum required RPM during level cruise? Is this change still current and applicable to all aircraft operating under this STC? I’m operating an M20R with the IO-550N (310 HP STC) and want to ensure I'm adhering to correct cruise power procedures per FAA-approved documentation.
  15. I need this wing gauge for my Mooney Ovation. Does anyone have any kicking around?
  16. How did this go? I am doing the same shortly with the same equipment. Garmin now has your calibrate with flaps up as well. Did you do that? What were your speeds?
  17. What speeds did you use for the AOA calibration? AOA Calibration Min Vis AOA 1.5 x VSO (100 KIAS) Stall Warning AOA at Stall Caution Alert AOA 1.1 x VSO (Stall + 5 KIAS) Approach Target AOA 1.3 x VSO (500FPM Short Final Speed 75 KIAS)
  18. Ah yes, the classic ‘someone posted something I don’t like, so I must now have a public meltdown’ approach. A bold choice. Listen, my dude, I bumped the thread because I’m planning a literal transatlantic flight, not because I’m trying to sell you vitamins or get you to join my pyramid scheme. But I totally get it, critical thinking is hard. That said, thanks to the renewed attention, I actually got a super helpful PM connecting me with a pilot who’s done some truly insane long-range flights, including Germany to Tasmania. Found here: https://youtu.be/OG5oSboLq2I?feature=shared So, you know… actual valuable discussion is happening here. But hey, you do you. If getting angry at forum posts is your thing, I hear the YouTube comment section is hiring. Anyway, thanks for your contribution to the discussion. It’s been super helpful.
  19. This is perfect Dan as I fly the M20R with the 310 STC and FIKI so I will likely see similar numbers as yourself.
  20. Is Jose not around anymore? I am planning an Atlantic crossing this summer and he seemed to be a wealth of knowledge.
  21. Do you still have these?
  22. Thank you very much. They look pretty solid.
  23. Thank you. I will try that.
