  1. Yes, if it was used in combat. I think it was used in Bolivia. We use a j3 cup that was used by the US Army so it's officially a warbird. Www.tailwheel-endorsement.com
  2. I would strongly recommend http://Www.tailwheel-endorsement.com These guys are the real deal. All Pros
  3. I would strongly recommend Www.tailwheel-endorsement.com They fly from Tucson Arizona, you should be able to do it in one or two days in their Super Cub or your own aircraft.
  4. Thanks for the update I would definitely be interested in buying a handful
  5. I specialize in Mooney transition training. So if you like, feel free to give me a call and we'll see if I can be of assistance. I have over 13,000 hours total time and over 4,000 hours instructing in M20s. Thx www.accelerated-ifr.com
  6. If you're still looking, let me know. I visit that area every few months and happy to help out. I have the same model and over 4,000 hours training/transitioning others, like you. Thx www.accelerated-ifr.com
  7. I have the exact same issue on my 84J model. There's a Cannon plug that attaches the instruments including the landing gear selector switch to a harness that goes behind the panel to the underside of the aircraft. One of the wires was grounding out and popping the 5 amp gear up relay breaker. Identifying that wire and insulating it solve the problem.
  8. I'm so happy I was able to accommodate you. Keep me apprised of your Mooney Adventures. Phil Accelerated-IFR.com
  9. I had the same issue and it went away with a squirt of acf-50
  10. Congratulations, it sounds like you had a great experience. You may also want to check out Accelerated-IFR.com for continious training as they've trained dozens of M20 pilots, at their home base with student owned aircraft. They'll take you throuout the Mooney approved flight envelope to make you the master of your aircraft. When you call them you can ask them for references.
  11. Please add me to the list. I'm an experienced Mooney CFI with a 201J and come to you, instructing in your aircraft. I have experience in all M20s having worked for a Mooney service center. This is our website and thanks for working on this list. www.Accelerated-ifr.com
  12. Thanks Jim... more information can be found at www.Accelerated-ifr.com
  13. I may be too late to help you... but doing an accelerated instrument training course for another pilot at that airport in a week. Feel free to reach out to me 424 235-0683 www.accelerated-ifr.com
  14. I've used FAA approved flight simulators for the past 20 years as part of our Accelerated IFR curriculum. My experience is it really only might save a few hours of the 15 hours of required CFII instruction. The main reason it fails is that a lot of flying IFR flying is muscle memory in terms of knowing where the buttons are and understanding the avionics. The PC simulators are really good for understanding procedures and pausing the scenario for the instructor to interact. In terms of actual IFR application in your aircraft with your equipment, it doesn't really seem to help much. Accelerated-ifr.com
  15. I do accelerated training in your Mooney at your location. I had the virus a few months back and now have have lab-confirmed antibodies and happy to help out. I used to work for a Mooney service center with tons of experience in every model except the mighty mite. See www.accelerated-ifr.com
