  1. Oil cooler was new (installed in 2016 I think) with new hoses so getting those flushed. New alternator belt too. I think the important items will be covered…. -Don
  2. Thankfully everything was in stock and shipped today. Cam and DLC lifters should make this a more reliable engine… new cylinders will be awesome… -Don
  3. After long discussions with the shop and a very good friend who is an AP/IA, I’m going to do cam, DLC lifters, all new Superior cylinders, new mechanical fuel pump, and IRAN the engine (OH gasket kit). I was very lucky all parts were in stock and should be here in a few days. Shop is in progress with the removal etc. All accessories were already overhauled or replace within the last 200+ hours (mag, SureFly, exhaust), Prop/Governor IRAN/reseal 200 hrs ago. Alternator’s oh 200 hrs ago so not a lot left there. Fine wire plugs with 250 hrs, new harnesses when mags/SureFly done… won’t have to wait long since the shop is on it… -Don
  4. Me too but it may be a blessing to have caught it really early… -Don
  5. Yep, pulled #4 to replace it since borescope showed rough cylinder…then found that… (autocorrect….:o( -Don
  6. Happened fast too… -Don
  7. Pics of cam/lifters, really surprised after -70 engine hours since last year’s annual… -Don
  8. 750 since IRAN, 2100 since official OH, it’s running great. I was thinking CAM and DLC lifters. Bottom was completely rebuilt. -Don
  9. Got BAD NEWs today -- cam is spalled -- not sure what happened but that sure didn't enter into the equation! Now, while I have some funds saved, I now need to go the OH route -- totally sucks but what can one do? -Don
  10. Yep, same one I was looking at! -Don
  11. I have a yoke clock and a bracket in mind. I ran a PTT to where the PC button was but not sure if there is more room for a wire. -Don
  12. Bumping and adding a couple more pics
  13. I don’t recall seeing one but if not that is an inexpensive item that the shop will have. Like AP on/off or circuit breaker - I don’t see in the kit but is often a shop item… -Don
  14. Yes it’s just the aluminum adapter that is part of the Duncan STC installation documents. -Don
  15. For those curious -- here are the contents in the box from Duncan -- I did email them to see how I get the STC Certification page (from them or Bendix) -- even though the invoice and docs show STC payment:
  16. Mine was delivered today! Took just 2 days fedex from Duncan… -Don
  17. Got it today! Ill have some pics of what came in. Contacted Duncan about the STC certificate to see if i download it… 2 days for delivery! -Don
  18. My old B had the push/pull switch vs yoke button… I changed yokes out on my C and may still have the button. Let me know and I’ll look for it… is for older style yokes. -Don
  19. Got my FedEx tracking # and should have the Autopilot kit by this Saturday! Based on that, I'm guessing there isn't any supply chain/delays when ordering! -Don
  20. The aerocruze should have a built-in one. GFC500 requires a G5 G5 provides a ‘heading and alt hold’ mode using the bugs when in External mode on the AeroCruze… -Don
  21. Duncan is shipping my kit out today! For those curious, I purchased the flat pack. The price included a 3% cc fee, $200 STC fee, and sales tax so the total was $7926.77 (~$22 for shipping included). The Garmin GFC500 was priced at $11930.50 ( not including shipping as it depends where it is shipped from) for a 2 axis kit for comparison… The installation price is the same for both per my avionics shop - currently for my plane at around $4500.00 Garmin: $16430.50 installed NOTE: I already have G5 and GNC 355 so that cost is not included. The G5 adds about $4K to $5k more for a single G5. AeroCruze: $12426.77 installed. G5 is optional but I would want it too… Overall, ~$4000 difference -Don
  22. Duncan is shipping out the autopilot today! Ill take pics of the contents once I get it… -Don
  23. @cliffy, do you have a pic of the shorted rod link? -Don
  24. I’ve ordered mine from Duncan today. Should know more after the holiday…. -Don
