  1. Sarasota is selling them for $4000 rectified. https://sarasotaavionics.com/avionics/efd1000-pro-pfd Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. After 5 years finally purchased the tug. Wished I had pulled the trigger earlier. Now the sidewinder for out remote when I’m still fresh and the tug when I get back home in the afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bottle of water, grapes or orange & a sandwich. Pee before startup and drink only when you feel thirsty. Thats been my go-to for anything over 4 hours.
  4. Avionics done.
  5. My experience with savvy when doing a pre-buy. After sending the info on the aircraft in question them putting the ticket on hold until they could get approval from the owner to release the data then they would use that as a data point for the prebuy.
  6. Nice the only thing that could make your install better would be to have all the work completed in a day.
  7. What are you putting in?
  8. Went in today as I was working in the area. Don't know how anybody figures out anything with all those little white wires. At least with Voice and networking each of our wires are individually colored.
  9. Just for reference when looking at the baby step approach. My costs for the upgrade below $28000 and would have been cheaper if I had it all done in one shot.
  10. the g5 AFMS states up to 4 hours 190-01112-13_09.pdf (garmin.com) Page 7. the gi275 does not give an up to range only stating that a green battery icon is at least 60min runtime. 190-02246-12_11.pdf (garmin.com) page 31.
  11. I could if I wanted to remove everything from the panel but the 275s. I don't want to though my reasons may seem silly to some, but they are mine. Maybe one day ill rip out all and put in a G3X, G500xi or whatever Garmin sells to replace them. (Not likely unless I stumble into a huge pile of cash. ) it does look nice when clean just not for me.

  13. It's what I had in the planes I've flown since I started my instrument training all those years ago. Things just feal weird when they're not there.
  14. Thanks. The 730 is being reused. I've had from my old aircraft when we upgraded it to 900 a for a failing analog cluster. (Install & reprogramming cost next to nothing.) Took quotes on the audio panel as well but as there is no slide in replacement for it could not justify all the money for functionally adding Bluetooth and inteliaudio(its nice but not amu nice).
  15. Ok dropped her off this morning. And of course, when I get back to the office 2 weeks of work out of town work show up.
  16. Yes had it in my F worked great.
  17. @AdamJD that would actually work for me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not a need but if I could get all my info in on one place that would be nice. As for now I get my temp from analogue temp probe and later from my edm upgrade. Winds are from the ifds calculators and TAS from my asi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. got my answer from Garmin which sucks but still better than the current king system.
  20. I've seen on the many GI275 photos and videos online that you can display TAS, winds or temp but never all at the same time. Is this a possibility like on the g5 some on the top unit some on the bottom.
  21. Selling my first aircraft and trying to buy my second really cut into the flights.
  22. Thats what I was thinking. My only true concern was how did the gi275 play with the IFD 440 real world. (Its Garmin something must be missing/reserved for their own navigator) TBH as long as I get auto course adjustments, gpss and my flight director I would consider it complete.
  23. Looking for any reports from people driving a Dual GI-275 setup with an IFD 440 & a KFC150 From the research it works fine and costs about the same as an equivalent aspen setup. See current panel.
  24. Good to see 00M being taken care of. The flight schools at the airport I trained at used generators to power electric forced air heaters. it takes a bit (30 to 60 min) but just gives you time to do an extensive preflight and drink a coffee. Product Comparison – Aerotherm Heaters
