  2. Hi I have s 231 with the long range tanks. I need 2 for 431 and 2 for 531. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Anybody remove and replace the alternator in a 1979 231 lately? Is there enough clearance to remove it without pivoting the entire engine on a mount? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. How much are they and do they fit a M20k 231? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I love my Mooney but for that mission I would take a Cessna 414 or 421. It will haul your boards and your friends and land on dirt strips. Now if you could rent your boards when you get there that would be better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Definitely post the answer. I have that arrangement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. And by the way, welcome to TEXAS. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  8. Thanks for the input y’all. It seems to be quite simple and easy the see and read the gauge on the back wall. I think it is what, 6’ away. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  9. Plane was factory flown and accepted in dec of 78. Second entry was installing o2 system with 337 in California 5 days after factory test flight S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  10. I’ll definitely check through the books S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  11. Mine has everything you have mentioned, except the shutoff in the front. Many of the cessnas have the O2 gauge on the back wall, all you do is look over your shoulder. The leak is at the filler port, I found it. I’ll look at Scott for a oring kit. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  12. LOL. That looks like the line girls in Salt Lake City in the 1990’s, except the boots. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  13. I have a 1979 M20k 231. Serial #8. It has O2. The system is apparently simpler than newer models. There is not a control in the cockpit to turn the system on. The gauge is in the hat rack. The filler fitting is inside the tail. The filler fitting looks exactly like the ones in twin cessnas. It has an internal check valve in it and is mounted. Anybody know the manufacturer and model of this fitting? I either need a overhaul kit or another fitting.
  14. Try telling that to the faa during registration. Dec 78 is not 79’. Lol. I’m totally with you on it should be a 79. Now, how to get the back seat or seat back out? S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  15. What about a 1978 231? Any tips on taking the back seat out or just the rear seat back?
  16. Any ideas then on why asi is not returning to zero? S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  17. Ba-da-boom. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  18. Thanks. I’ll look this weekend. If missing, I’ll have to figure how to drain it. Airspeed dose not return to zero. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  19. Thank you. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  20. Thanks S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  21. Thanks. Just an empty hole S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  22. I have a “new to me” 1978 M20k 231. Poh shows a drain at the port side wing root for the pitot system. I see an empty hole. Is the supposed to be a button sticking down or do I press inside with a small punch? S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  23. Yep. Two burned out bulbs behind it. Fixed S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  24. It’s a light. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
  25. I agree on the price of tubing in the center being a great handle. I’ll b at the plane tomorrow. The light for the oat sounds feasible. S. T. Nelson N231JG Just Go
