  1. I couldn't tell you the lumens but the thing is BRIGHT, there is no way to miss it. I'll take a video when i get back from my trip.
  2. Samsung Galaxy tab, if you can find one in an acceptable size. GORGEOUS screen, was always bright enough for the cockpit. well better than the ipad at the time. I had an s8+ till someone decided to walk away with it
  3. this is the one i have.
  4. flying around Houston, i think they should MANDATE adsb out for anything that flies, can't believe the number of times i've been closer than i wanted to other aircraft. Heck almost was ran over by a phenom once. when i originally installed ADSB it was eye opening the number of aircraft i couldn't see, wth, i was the one bragging about how i saw all the traffic. nice they include the section about efbs and portables
  5. hey EarthX, i need two of these, ask your guys to throw a 1amu special for 2 and the stc. seriously, i lost 20lbs when they weighed birdy, 2 of these would be perfect
  6. I just summed up all the entries and entered them into gp as one line.
  7. what's the part number, my system was just removed and i have a couple other parts laying about
  8. it will most likely work, the problem is getting an installer to actually do it. basically, if it isn't on a drawing, avionics guys won't touch it
  9. WOOT, Birdy is done. AeroCruze 100 in and working, will update as really learn the system.
  10. so t I had a switch on the panel orginally it was nav1 / nav 2, the avionics guys would just connect the new gps units to the switch NOT the brittain. somehow the "Switch" was okay
  11. I fly all xc's IFR, just easier. i wouldn't say really a reroute, my experience, they'll try to send you direct asap. you may get some trouble around roswell, depending if the aliens are about. stop in roswell, hopefully the alien museum is open
  12. rear seat release. add a strtaus adsb and it's pretty much my birdy when i first met her.
  13. sorry EGT, i try to lean so it just twitches off the low stop
  14. my first hangar, i installed a winch specifically to do exactly what you describe, worked well. If the new hangar had a place for the winch, i'd be using it today. Bungee might be nice, my winch was so slow and steady i never bothered haha just looked it up, here's a picture of hte model i used, had it mounted to a tail tie down at the back of the hangar
  15. after about 4k i lean just enough to see the needle twich, try to keep it at that point as i climb. oxygen above 8 or 9k, just feel better when i fly at altitude for long bits. generally fly peak or slightly rich of peak at altitude
