  1. Pictures tell a thousand words. The wheel wells sold me !!! I've got what I consider a really nice paint job on my ship, and yes, I meticulously clean the wheel wells.
  2. Caleb, She's a Beauty !!! Welcome to Mooneyspace !
  3. Sorry it took so long to answer, I didn't see your post. I had my AF1B done by John Jackson (principal) @ Pacific Continental Engines, as I understand it, 2nd generation shop in Simi, Ca. I am absolutely satisfied w/ engine. I had stopped by one day, and even got to watch him balance the cshaft. Runs like a top, I've got almost 100 hrs on it.
  4. Has there been any progress in this subject? Rick or Patrick, have you done one for your Bravo? I'm facing the same delima w/ GP, no M20M listed for aircraft.
  5. I had my engine done beginning in Jul 2022. Did everything, turbo, exhaust, vacuum, etc. Took a little over 1 yr downtime, cost $89K USD. Wait time was exasperating, there is such a shortage of skilled labor in this country, eg. getting case recon - facility had 2 machines, but only 1 qualified operator, and the list goes on and on Exhaust system O/H was also time consuming, as expert welders are in short supply. Parts logistics can also be a bad dream.
  6. Hi All, I've got a 94' Bravo, KFC 150 AP. My elec trim works fine to trim down, but I have to use the manual wheel to trim up. Any advice where to troubleshoot, or do I head directly to the avionics shop without passing go or collecting $200. Thanks & Merry Christmas Dave
  7. Ha ! Thats an oxymoron ! I'm mid 77 and my insurance is still reasonable, although I'm only insured for about half my hull value. I got my PPL in 80', and rates have slowly increased. I think I'm in for a rude awakening in about 2 1/2 years. Also, I've read that the insurance industry (property wise) has had an exceptionally good couple of years, so I'm sure that rates will be reflected and decrease. (LOL)
  8. Thanks Skip, I'd never reverse bled a brake system, but alas, this old dog has been taught a new procedure / technique ( I hate the terminology of trick}. After reverse bleeding the "bad side" I had to do my "good side". NEVER have i had such solid brakes in many years of flying. Thanks Again & Merry Christmas !!
  9. Are there any special techniques to bleeding the brakes, other than the depress pedal and open bleeder, close bleeder and release pedal? Thanks in Advance !
  10. Fellow Mooney folks, is this the correct spec for the Brake / Hydro Fluid Hydraulic Fluid MIL-H-5606A ? I've got a 94' Bravo. I'm about to order it from Aircraft Spruce. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving
  11. Hey Steve, I am interested at a reasonable price point. If even ballpark figures become available, please post. Thanks Dave
  12. Gary D Welcome to Mooney ownership. Please keep us posted on your adventure during your trip back to OK. Also with your first day trip with your wife. I've owned 3 Mooneys, over the past 24 yrear, a 68' C, a 231 / 262 and currently a 94' Bravo. Loved them all, especially my first, the C. Wishing you all the luck and CAVU. Dave
  13. Jim just completed my propeller balancing about1 mo ago (Late Sept 25) I noticed quite a bit smoother ride. He's a real pro !!
  14. I thought someone would have posted about this salvage. BAS began Monday parting a M20 R Ovation..Lots of parts available for you Ovation drivers. https://baspartsales.com/blog/new-in-the-bas-disassembly-hangar-october-2nd-2025?_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8pVQavTMSiZYhyIkRZXxsBUYdhDXcSOEBB0VI99aFG-29Fcg89aVQ9BHixlChwZO_HwA_GUvJBj-NNgm5WhaSEZQibcw&_hsmi=383596616
  15. No Truer Words ever spoken ! Preflight, even w/ someone standing around makes the hairs on the back of my neck curl. I HATE it !! Now I demand total silence, and go stand . . . Over There.
