    Some of the nicest paint jobs I have seen come from Mora in Santiago, dom rep. Nice flight from Miami. airline on the field for trip back. Last one he painted for me 2 weeks. full strip and you pick colors and scheme. His English is very good and phone is 809 762 8581. I could be enticed to ride along.

    yes had a ding in the lh wing where the two skins overlap. has been repaired but needs an annual and possibly paint. flew from long island to ky then morristown tn. photos show damage and ready to ferry wing repaired now owner won.t pay

    ON 23 NOVEMBER at 9:00 am at front door of the courthouse, Hamblen co. 511 West Second North St. Morristown, tn. a 1984 Mooney Special Edition will be sold to the highest bidder. The beginning bid of $26,000 to satisfy mechanics lien. The Special edition has the Articulating seats and the rear seats remove to form a full floor in the rear along with others. king equipped, autopilot etc. Will fly away with ferry permit but will need annual.     In all cases I have been involved with just a copy of relevant logs go to the mechanic for use during the inspection. No log books are involved until inspection is complete and plane is purchased

    I just flew in a 66 C for maintenance. Noticed it had 11 logbooks. The original owner logged in the airframe and engine logs every minute he flew in it. If anyone out there logs his time in the airplane logs....STOP IT!!!!!! That is the purpose of personal logs.

    Middle of the night thieves hit the Morristown, Tn airport and took every Garmin in the tie down area. I was lucky in that I only lost one 430. Smokey mountain Aero lost 430's, 530's and sw panels. Baron lost a 530 AND 430. all in all upwards of $75,000 lost. All have serial numbers. Probably little Chance of recover. Locking the door is a waste of time because most doors use the Bendix drawer keys and a small handful of keys will open 95% of the gen avia fleet. I suspect they will be hitting more airports doing same thing in the near future

    Think I will stay with the Annual plus discrepancies since I will know exactly what she needs to be airworthy and can do lots of the work as an owner and the rest with mechanics signature.

    so from this i assume an annual inspection with a discrepancy list is much more thorough than a prebuy and prices are similar. Do most IA's walk slow when asked for discrepancy only?

    Just delivered a 64C with electric gear. That's not the strange part. The electric gear was out of a Comanche. Seemed to work ok but must have been a nightmare to install.

    if you don't have door or baggage door keys the cheapest thing is to run by Lowes and for a couple dollars you can pick up identical drawer locks with keys.
