  1. Hi Jerry, I saw the FB ad on N9441V and I'd like to buy it.  Bob Pietrs 7196449262 Huntsville (KHSV)

attached is the original letter from wentworth describing the mooney.  i know our deal is dead but i did not want you to think i pulled your leg.  wheels and bearings all changed although they were clean.   I bought it from a man who bid it off from wenteorth and could not get his money together so since i had dealt with him in the past i bought it from him so he would not lose his deposit.    my deal with him is that i would make sure it was safe to ferry and it would be delivered to morristown tn.   now being annulled so all panels etc off so can see everything necessary for normal annual.  Over the years I have  done many many mooneys (my first mooney was an almost new woodwing.  no metal ones then) and this one is one of the most minor ones.   Again, sorry for wasting your time.  Jerry

1970 MOONEY M20F, 3,899TT, 1,201 SMOH, 644 SNEW 3BLADE, NO ACCIDENT, OUT OF ANNUAL, CHEAP!
THE M20F IS THE “IMPROVED” MOONEY!  ALSO CALLED EXECUTIVE 21 TO DENOTE THE EXTRA ROOM.
DESIGNED WITH A  LONGER FUSELAGE TO ALLEVIATE THE COMPLAINTS OF UNUSEABLE BACK SEATS IN THE “C” AND “E”, THE F MODEL ALSO ADDS AN ADDITIONAL SIDE WINDOW TO IMPROVE VISABILITY FOR ALL AND VISUALLY THIN OUT THE FUSELAGE.
WITH IT’S 200 H.P. FUEL INJECTED ENGINE, THE “F” HAS ENOUGH POWER TO TAKE 4 PEOPLE AND A CRUISE SPEED 10 KNOTS OR MORE FASTER THAN AN EQUIVILENT 200 H.P. ARROW, ABOUT 145 KNOTS OR A LITTLE BETTER (ABOUT 170 MPH).
UNLIKE THE 50 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE ARROW, THE “F” HOLDS 64, SO 5 HOURS PLUS FULL IFR RESERVE IS AVAILABLE. TRY TO GO 5 HOURS IN THE ARROW AT FULL CRUISE AND THE LAST 20 MINUTES WOULD BE VEEEERRY QUIET!
THE “F” WAS INTRODUCED IN 1967, BUT WAS CONTINUALLY IMPROVED AND NEW FEATURES ADDED.
BY 1970, LIKE THIS AIRPLANE, THE DASH WAS A CLEAN FLAT PANEL, WITH A REASONABLE GUAGE LAYOUT, MODERN STRIP GUAGES FOR FUEL AND ENGINE INSTRUMENTATION, A VERY NICE THROTTLE QUADRANT AND ELECTRIC GEAR AND FLAPS STANDARD!
I WISH I DIDN’T HAVE TO MENTION IT, BUT THE “EXECUTIVE 21” OF 1967 AND 1968 CAME STANDARD WITH MANUAL LANDING GEAR AND FLAPS YOU HAD TO PUMP DOWN HYDRAULICALY WITH A PUMP HANDLE! KIND OF EMBARRASING ACTUALLY AND ALMOST ARCHAIC.
MODERN ELECTRIC GEAR AND FLAPS WERE PHASED IN IN 1969 AND ALL 1970 MODELS, INCLUDING THIS AIRCRAFT, HAD THEM FACTORY EQUIPPED.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS ARE INDIVIDUALLY ADJUSTABLE REAR SEAT BACKRESTS WITH A GAP BETWEEN THEM TO MAKE ACCESSING THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT IN FLIGHT FAR MORE PLEASANT (THAT’S WHERE THE PICNIC BASKET AND THE COOLER ARE!)
THIS 1970 “F” MODEL EXECUTIVE 21 HAS 3,899 HOURS TOTAL TIME ON THE AIRFRAME
THE LYCOMING IO-360 200 H.P. ENGINE HAS 1,201 SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL, WITH ALL CHROME CYLINDERS.  COMPRESSION TEST AT LAST ANNUAL SHOWS 78,78,72,78 ALL OVER 80, WHICH IS GREAT OF COURSE.   The t.b.o ON THIS ENGINE IS OF COURSE 2,000 HOURS.
THE PROPELLOR HAS BEEN UPGRADED TO A 3 BLADE HARTZELL, FOR BETTER CLIMB RATE AND LOWER NOISE AND VIBRATION AND BECAUSE IT LOOKS SOOOO MUCH COOLER THAN A SIMPLE 2 BLADE!
THIS PROP HAS ONLY 684 HOURS SINCE BRAND NEW!!!!
AVIONICS ARE PASSABLE, BUT NOT STATE OF THE ART:
NARCO DIGITAL MARK 12D NAV-COM WITH GLIDESLOPE INDICATOR
720 CHANNEL NUMBER 2 COMM WITH ANOTHER GLIDESLOPE INDICATOR FOR REDUNDANCY
      NARCO DIGITAL DME
PS ENGINEERING AUDIO PANEL UPGRADE, WITH 4 PLACE INTERCOM BUILT IN.
NARCO LEGACY MODE “C” TRANSPONDER WITH ENCODER.
THE INTERIOR WAS UPGRADED WITH VERY NICELY BOLSTERED SEATS IN A MODERN “PECAN” COLOR AND THE SEATS LOOK GREAT!
OUTSIDE, THE PAINT WAS REDONE IN THE 1980’S IN A ‘201’ TYPE PAINT SCHEME, IN THE POPULAR-AT-THE-TIME OFF-WHITE BASE, WITH RED AND DARK BROWN STRIPES.
IN OVERALL GOOD CONDITION, WITH A FEW TOUCH-UPS ON THE LEFT REAR NOT PERFECTLY MATCHING, AND THE OUTER WING STRIPES BEING FADED FROM REPEATED POLISHING.
AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS, THIS AIRPLANE WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT!
IT DOESN’T HAVE HAIL DAMAGE AND IT DIDN’T SUFFER WIND DAMAGE.
BUT IT WAS IN A HANGER THAT GOT A FRESH WATER STORM SURGE DURING A HURRICANE, WHICH GOT INTO ALL 3 WHEELS (FEET WET), BUT NOT INTO THE ENGINE.
THE BEARINGS AND WHEELS WILL REQUIRE INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE BEFORE YOU WOULD FLY WITH THEM, EVEN WITH ONLY FRESH WATER.
AND BY THE WAY, THE HURRICANE OCCURRED IN LATE 2018!
THE INSURANCE CLAIM WAS DELAYED BY THE FACT THAT THE OWNER, A MARINE, WAS DEPLOYED AT THE TIME AND WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO WORK WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY.
THEN AFTER THE CLAIM WAS SETTLED IN EARLY 2019, THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER GOT TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER ASSIGNEMENT AND THE AIRPLANE JUST SAT THERE, TIED DOWN ON THE RAMP.
FINALLY I BOUGHT THE AIRPLANE FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY, BUT NOT UNTIL THIS SPRING.
SO THE LAST ANNUAL INSPECTION EXPIRED OCTOBER OF 2018.
THE AIRPLANE HAS NOT BEEN MOVED OR OPERATED SINCE BEING PLACED OUTSIDE THE HANGER.
I JUST SAW THE AIRPLANE THIS WEEK, AND HERE IS WHAT I SAW:
THE AIRCRAFT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED AS MUCH FROM SITTING OUTSIDE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS IN THE CAROLINA ENVIRONMENT AS MUCH AS ANYTHING.
THE HEADS OF SOME OF THE VISIBLE SCREWS ARE RUSTY, AS ARE SOME OF THE TUBES IN THE STEEL LANDING GEAR TRUNIONS. (BASICALLY ANYWHERE THE PAINT COATING WAS NOT COMPLETE, AS YOU WOULD EXPECT)
THERE ARE A FEW SPOTS OF CORROSION, BUT NOT REALLY ANYTHING VISIBLE AS YOU WALK UP TO THE PLANE.  THE LARGEST IS AN AREA THE SIZE OF THE PALM OF YOUR HAND WHICH IS MISSING PAINT ON ONE OF THE ALUMINUM FAIRINGS ON THE  BELLY, BUT IT IS NOT OVERALL PERVASIVE.
THERE IS NO OBVIOUS LINE TO IMPLY WHERE THE WATER TOUCHED IN 2018, BUT THE CARPETS ARE SOFT (NOT CRUSTY) AND THE FLOOR UNDERNEATH THEM LOOKS CLEAN AND IS NOT CORRODED.
THE SEATS HAVE NO WATERLINE, ARE SOFT, AND SHOW NO CORROSION AND THERE IS NO MUSTY SMELL ON THE CLOSED UP AIRCRAFT, SO I SEE NOTHING TO SHOW THAT THE WATER MADE IT INSIDE.
THE FUEL SELECTOR ON THIS AIRCRAFT IS ON THE PILOT'S FLOOR, AS LOW IN THE CABIN AS YOU CAN GET, AND THE SELECTOR IS SMOOTH AND THE PULL UP FUEL DRAIN BESIDE IT WORKS AS IT SHOULD.
THIS WAS NOT A SEAWATER SURGE, SO THE WATER WAS FRESH, OR AT MOST A BIT BRACKISH (MOST WATER IN THE EASTERN CAROLINAS IS AT LEAST ALWAYS BRACKISH).
IT DID NOT STAY IMMERSED FOR ANY LENTH OF TIME.
THE CONTROLS (ALL PUSH-PULL RODS ON A MOONEY WERE STIFF WHEN I FIRST MOVED THE YOKE, BUT GOT SMOOTHER AND EASIER WHEN I MOVED THEM, AND TRAVEL THE FULL RANGE.  THE AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW!
THE TRIM WHEEL FOR THE PITCH (IT MOVES THE WHOLE TAIL ASSEMBLY ON A MOONEY, NOT A TRIM TAB), IS MOUNTED TO THE FLOOR BETWEEN THE FRONT SEATS.  IT TURNS EASILY AND SMOOTHLY AND THE TAIL RESPONDS EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD!
I REMOVED THE BELLY PANELS FROM THE FORWARD AND CENTER BELLY, AND FOUND NO UNDO RUST OR CORROSION INSIDE OR ON THE CONTROL PUSHRODS, BELLCRANKS, ETC.
THE FLAP AND GEAR MOTORS SHOWED NO CORROSION AND THE JACKSCREWWS STILL HAD A PROTECTIVE LAYER OF GREASE ON THEM.
I DO NOT KNOW OF ANY ISSUES CAUSED BY THE WATER TO THIS AIRCRAFT!
CONSIDER THAT IT HAS BEEN SITTING AS IT'S MAJOR ISSUE AND I BELIEVE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IT'S NEEDS.
LUCKILY, THE CHROME CYLINDERS INSTALLED ON THIS ENGINE CAN’T RUST!
THE ENGINE TURNS OVER SMOOTHLY WITH THE PROP, AND THERE IS NO CORROSION ISSUES VISIBLE TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENGINE OR PROPELLOR.
THE LOGBOOKS FOR THE AIRFRAME ARE COMPLETE SINCE DAY 1 FEBRUARY 1970
THE ENGINE LOGBOOKS ARE COMPLETE SINCE THE LAST MAJOR OVERHAUL TO THE LAST ANNUAL
THE PROP LOGS ARE INCLUDED SINCE NEW
THERE ARE ALSO 337’S, A.D. COMPLIENCE SHEETS AND MISC RECEIPTS
AND OF COURSE THE FAA BILL OF SALE!
LOCATED AT THE NEW BERN NORTH CAROLINA AIRPORT, WE WILL PAY THE $40 MONTHLY TIE-DOWN FEE TILL THE END OF AUGUST, AND MORE TIME IS AVAILABLE IF YOU NEED IT AT YOUR COST.
THIS M20F WILL MAKE AN EXCELLENT CROSS COUNTRY AIRPLANE FOR YOUR FAMILY OR BUSINESS NEEDS.  IT IS A GREAT STEP-UP AIRPLANE, WITH EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE AND SPEED PER DOLLAR SPENT FOR FUEL AND MAINTENANCE.
AND YOU ARE ABLE TO BUY THIS ONE WAY UNDER THE PREVAILING PRICE, SO YOU HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY TO SPRUCE IT UP A LITTLE AND STILL HAVE THE CHEAPEST ELECTRIC GEAR, 3 BLADE PROP  “F” ON THE PLANET!
EVERYTHING YOU WOULD EXPECT OF AN AIRPLANE SITTING LIKE THIS.
THE AIRPLANE IS UNMOLESTED, ALL OF THE RADIOS AND INSTRUMENTS ARE INTACT AND UNHURT, NOTHING MISSING OFF THE ENGINE (NO CANNIBALIZATION), SO THIS IS A GOOD, SECURE AIRPORT.

I have had most every mooney built. Just ferried an acclaim last week and you have my favorite one.  I just bought a 66E on its belly up in Il just east of st louis.  which I think I will keep.  And be careful; with that bladder on your step.  I had to replace one a few weeks ago and ain't none.  I found the only one in existence out in Oklahoma.  Brittain cant buy them either.  Have lots of extra parts so keep me in mind.  Jerry Pressley

I have all that but the easiest is battery box cover with the extra solenoid and access door with hinged cover.  have to paint to match or cut a hole in your present access door.  I just removed one from a 201 which goes to the rear of the access door in side of tailcone if you rather have that. in either case it will be complete...all you have to do is tell me how muich
