The weekend is ok...althought I would suggest to wait by the end of this week, in case that will be more mooniacs (not only five)...Then we will set the location. Anywhere is fine for me!

What would the european mooniacs have to say about a meeting this summer...somewhere in the middle of Europe (EMPOA meeting is in the far nord in june )? I am thinking of south of Germany, Austria... Not formal...just some talks about our aircrafts over a beer... I would really need to change some experiences regarding maintenance, avionics, flying tips etc... Manu

I have installed mine in the front of the back seats... By the way I saw in other type of aircrafts the fire extinguisher mounted under the instruments panel (copilot side), with a cable for activation and the deployment is only in the engine compartment (via some tubes)...Is this possible for mooneys?

I had a problem with my KFC200 yesterday: when I pressed short 2 times the down button (for a 200 ft/min descending) the aircraft was pitching down very fast and continuously until I disengage the A/P. In 3-4 seconds I was descending 1500 ft/min...!!!! With the A/P disengaged the electric trim was working properly. Any thoughts? Tks! Manu

Learn your aircraft together with the mechanic you thrust...!! If not, I think the closest mooney maintenance facility is Troyes Aviation (France)...and there are good reviews about them. -
there is also a group in Europe for the intercooler, look at empoa site for this!

I will install the Aspen glass anyway. The KFC200 could have only ALT PRESELCT not VS... Another option will be DFC90 which could me much better as it is attitude based...but it is not available yet for mooney. Do you have any idea when it will be?

I will upgrade my panel soon...is the stec 55x a good decision for A/P retrofit? Is it really unstable on ils? At the moment my 231 has a KFC200...which is ok and stable but it does not have VS preselect (and it is analog). The avionics shop recommend to keep the old KFC200...but I really need the VS speed selector... Thanks for inputs!!

I'm based in europe and I own a 231/1984 easa registered. Very happy with it... Buy a turbo mooney and you won't regret!
