Skybrd Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 There are lots of people including myself that like to read flying trip experiences. I have flown from Oskhosh to California but would like to read about other experiences. Crossing the Sierra's and Rockies can be interesting especially if the winds are blowing over 30 knots. One trip I remember reading that was interesting was a Ercoupe flying to Alaska in a barnstorming style. If you have something interesting about one of your trips how about sharing it. Thanks .. 1 Quote
rbridges Posted August 17, 2013 Report Posted August 17, 2013 Anybody want to hear about my 40 nm flight from perry, ga to americus? Lol Quote
Jeff_S Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 Well, this is kind of interesting in that it relates to a remarkable coincidence I had flying my Mooney from Atlanta to Denver and back a couple of years ago. The guy I bought my J from ultimately replaced it with an Encore (which is now for sale, some have looked at it on Controller...N17ME...he's looking for an Acclaim). But on the outbound leg of my flight from Atlanta, somewhere in Memphis Center airspace, I heard him talking to the controller and recognized the voice and call sign. We were able to switch freqs briefly and have a chat, as he was on his way down to Florida. Damned if four days later, as I was returning from Denver to Atlanta in that samed Memphis Center airspace, we crossed paths again and had another chat. So much for the big sky theory. Quote
carusoam Posted August 19, 2013 Report Posted August 19, 2013 It's a big sky until everyone is flying a Mooney! -a- 1 Quote
