aaronk25 Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 Ok so I leave tomorrow Sunday for Oshkosh and if I take the plane instead of the Motorhome because the temps are gonna be cooler but if I do will the line workers they let me park with the rest of the mooneys even though I would show up the day following the caravan arrival? Last year was my first time flying and camping at Oshkosh and I also showed up on Sunday but had no Idea how things were setup so I didn't ask or wave or point, not sure it would have helped. Could one of you that are there at the mooney row ask a line guy if there are going to or would try to park us mooneys together. If I hear a yes ill fly or if its no Ill take the coach and walk over and have a drink. Quote
Z W Posted July 27, 2013 Report Posted July 27, 2013 I just had the main tanks filled for my flight to OSH tomorrow morning. I would like to know as well. I presume they will be swamped with planes and just filling up the spaces first-come-first-serve, but I've never been before. Quote
RJBrown Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 They park planes in the order they arrive. There will be no parking next to those that came in the day before. You do not choose a parking space you are directed into one. Quote
Dave Marten Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 In 2012 EAA made every attempt to park aircraft with their respective mass arrival group. Unfortunately that policy is no longer in effect (found out today). However, come on by the Mooney Caravan tent in the North 40 and say hello. Reminder: Mooney forums Monday at 10 am and Wed at 2:30 pm EAA forum pavilions. Scotch Monday night in Mooney row. Bring a bottle to share. Quote
