Oscar Avalle Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 Sorry to bother the group again with a new question... but thanks to this exchange I have been able to resolve several small issues that have bothered me since I purchased my plane... So here we go. I removed the winglever in my Mooney and replaced it with a STEC 30. Since then, it seems to me that the plane tends to drift to the right. The ball on the TC is slightly off too. Thus I think that Iit has to be trimmed, but how can I do it? Thanks again in advance for your advice and attention. Once my avionics upgrade is finalized I will post some pictures.
jetdriven Posted July 2, 2012 Report Posted July 2, 2012 per the SMM, level the plane's wings. make sure it is wings level. then make sure the ball in centered. our old TC ball was off. OK. so thats alright. Now you must bend the ruddder trailing edge to enter the ball, adjust the aileron trailing edge in the same manner to correct roll. Flap up-stops can be adjusted too. Read the service manual and follow that ot the letter. I sugfest checking the gear doors are closed first, asymmentrical drap can appear as a bad rudder adjustment.
lamont337 Posted July 14, 2012 Report Posted July 14, 2012 What did you do with the wing leveler? Still have the parts?
Oscar Avalle Posted July 14, 2012 Author Report Posted July 14, 2012 I sold it when I upgraded my autopilot. So I don't have it anymore
