Dual SureFly Install - Electronics International R1 Tach now Inop

During an overhaul I had dual SureFly mags installed in my 06 O3 with G1000.  A/P IA and now a second avionics shop has not had any luck getting the EI R1 to respond correctly.  The EI bounces around between 1500 and 1800 while steady at 2400rpm -  https://share.icloud.com/photos/087h-qmOAZMjCFNkNQxNzGjzQ At the direction of SureFly, I also purchased the Tach2 module to get the 5V to the G1000 for the tachometer.  Still no EI tach luck.  EI support said the '06 R1 model tach, was in some cases not compatible with the signal from the SureFly and recommended a new R1, which I purchased only to have the exact same results.  Has anyone with this setup been successful in having the EI work with a dual SureFly install.  Love the hot start and overall performance  of the SureFly but not happy the output from them is not seemingly compatible with the EI Tach.
