Hey all,

I’m looking to get an airplane for my son and I to do his instrument and commercial in. I don’t have access to a Mooney, so I’m reaching to see if someone on the front range would be willing to let us sit in theirs and see how it is.  Hopefully dispelling the “cramped” feeling it gets labeled with. Thank you!!

About three or four times a month a new person comes on and asks the same question - Can I sit in a Mooney? Not passing any judgment, just an observation.

If someone doesn't respond to have you come and sit in their Mooney, my guess it that if you just go find a Toyota Yaris or a Honda Fit and both climb in the passenger side (since Mooneys made before 2017 have one door),  it will be pretty close. Since 11,000 Mooneys were made they have fit every size and shape of person made, some more comfortably than others. I personally know someone 6'9" that flew one for years. I know someone else less than 5 feet tall that flies one. Ingress and egress in most airplanes is not graceful, but once you're sitting there, buckled in,  it's fine.

I’m at 18v and have a slovation if you want to check it out.

Thank you for the offer, I would love to take you up on that. I’m up in Fort Collins, and my sons on spring break so we can come by anytime that’s convenient for you.

I’m currently working in Seattle but should be back Thursday. I need to clean my plane anyway, so I’ll be there over the weekend. shoot me a text.
