Up for sale is my business partner's 1978 M20J model  - you too could own this marvelous piece of Machinery for only $110,000

Given the low airframe time and the amount of engine hours, this is by far one of the best M20J values in the market today.   It is also listed with a broker on Trade a Plane.

This is the least expensive M20J in the market today - the closest other J model at 115 has 1100 hours more on the engine.

This airplane didn't do a ton of flying since 2015 until recently.  The previous owner didn't complete certain maintenance on this fine bird for a while and it sat in his hangar until my partner finished the work and began to fly it over the last year.

TTAF:  3200 and rising

Engine:  5 on the bottom end, 30 on the cylinders, performed by Corona Engine Shop, and increasing

Prop:  100 hours, Hartzell 3 bladed

Radios:  Nothing to write home about - Davtron Clock / Timer.

King KX175B Nav/Com Glideslope King KNS 80 King KMA 20 Audio Panel King KFC 200 Auto Pilot King KCS-55 HSI King KT-76 Transponder Intercom

Autopilot:  KAP200, works like a champ

Will gladly install anything you would like.

ADSB:  Wonderful tail beacon, ADSB-Out only - but you too can have glass installed on this marvelous flying carpet

Beautiful Leather Interior, if you're into that 70's functional look.  No tears.

Damage History:  This airplane used to reside in Europe and had a gear up in 1999 which was expertly repaired,

All logs available.  Airplane is in current annual which was extensive.

The airplane is intentionally listed at a price intended to move the airplane fast.  The owner purchased it from the previous long term owner who could no longer fly it - and brought it back to serviceable condition.

There is a slew of independent IA's locally some which specialize in Mooneys that will gladly perform a thorough prebuy on this, along with Crown Air in San Diego that used to be a Mooney Service Center and...Foothill at Cable.

PM me and I can give you additional information. Airplane is located at KCPM near Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Text 6503395339 for additional information.

FYI, Crown Air maintenance at MYF went out of business years ago. Coast Air, no relationship to Crown Air, is a MSC, but is not known for quality work and doesn’t want to work on older Mooney’s.

I wonder why they are an MSC then.

Good question! Originally they picked up some Mooney experienced mechanics\IA’s from CrownAir when they first opened but they all left pretty quickly.

Thanks for the info.

Again - plenty of decent mechanics around to perform a pre-buy in southern California even without Crown Air.

I'd buy this Mooney if I didn't own three already :)

FWIW... I emailed a few questions on this plane shortly after it was listed on trade-a-plane and never heard anything back. I also called the number provided a few days later and was unable to reach anyone.

Hello, Stubby! Feel free to PM me.

A broker had a non exclusive chance to list it - and we know the rest.

I’ll shoot you my phone number.

I do have one other person interested as we speak with no deposits yet.

Cheers!
