chriscalandro Posted July 18, 2023 Report Posted July 18, 2023 (edited) Trim does not stop you from landing coordinated. You don’t set your trim based on the indicator in flight, but rather adjust as needed, so I’m not sure how that was a factor. Edited July 18, 2023 by chriscalandro Quote

Kept complaining about it to my "wait and see" previous mechanic. No big deal...until ATC landed me with 15 knot tailwind after telling me I had a 30 degree crosswind. "Pulled to the right" became "dart to the right" when you are doing F1 speeds on touchdown. Might be a good lesson here for a new owner. If you know you have a safety of flight problem like this, get it fixed ASAP. Don't defer it. If your mechanic won't fix it, get a second opinion and/or find a new mechanic. This seems like a pretty foreseeable incident, I'm sorry to say. And a second lesson: when you notice you're attempting to land with a 15-knot tailwind, in a plane you cannot fully control at speed on the ground, GO AROUND! Quote
