Dick Denenny Posted May 6, 2023 Report Posted May 6, 2023 I have a ' E that has had the Positive Control removed. I've looked but can't find a topic, but has anybody put in a push to talk in disengage on the yoke? Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted May 6, 2023 Report Posted May 6, 2023 Sounds doable. The PTT switch that Mooney uses would probably fit in the hole. You will need a machinist to make an adapter that fits the hole. You could 3D print one too, but a machined piece would look better. Quote

You’ll be able to find a PTT that will press into the PC hole, I was able to use the vacuum tubes in the yoke to route a pair of fine wires through to the switch, solder them on and carefully work the wires back and pressing the switch into place, make a connection to larger gauge wires in the yoke behind the clock. Thank. That is exactly what I was looking for. Mine is and E model too. I'm wondering if I could legally drill into the yoke to make the holes larger? Quote
carusoam Posted May 8, 2023 Report Posted May 8, 2023 My 65 C used the standard hole, and a standard switch… and made a nice PTT set up… Of course, I wished MS was around at the time to get the Brittain system working correctly instead…. Then a vac switch in the panel would have been even better… to go with the PTT… Best regards, -a- 1 Quote
