Recently moved to Massachusetts and I am finding that unlike in Georgia, I really need to away to keep my oil temp as I am having some trouble keeping the oil temps up above 180F. Anyone know if there is an off the shelf part that I can buy to close out part of the oil cooler? Or has anyone made something they can recommend?

Thanks!

Never seen the mod, but duct tape in other aircraft is the gold standard, just plan a short flight to ensure you haven’t covered too much first.

No it’s not legal I’m sure.

I’ve definitely seen people use them, but your vernatherm shouldn’t be passing oil to the cooler if it’s colder than 180 anyway.  Someone with better maintenance cred wanna correct me on that?

Where is your oil temp probe because that also matters?
