jrothen4 Posted December 13, 2019 Report Posted December 13, 2019 It looks like having my left fuel tank resealed is going to be needed in the future. I’ve noticed fuel streaks coming from the access panels and making its way down the wing to the fuselage causing a bearable but annoying fuel smell in the cabin. No issues during flight and likely a sealant issue. I had the overflow hose and valve checked during annual in May. I am based in North Las Vegas, NV (KVGT) so looking for recommendations of where to take it for the overhaul. Thanks! Quote

RobertGary1 Posted December 13, 2019 Report Posted December 13, 2019 Don’t assume a reseal. That’s kind of a nuclear option. -Robert 1 Quote
Browncbr1 Posted December 13, 2019 Report Posted December 13, 2019 If it’s leaking just at the access panel, then just reseal that panel. If you have other small leaks just patch them while you’re in there. Access panel reseal should run just about .3 amu, if that. Quote

It could be from a fuel tank access panel which is easy to fix or a wing access panel, removing the latter can help pinpoint. I’ve had both. Hopefully it’s not one of those leaks that migrates to its exit point.Tom Quote
