Captnmack Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 Hello all, Who all has gone from there trusty A1A to an A3B6 series? Going on an 68 F. regards Quote
carusoam Posted March 14, 2019 Report Posted March 14, 2019 While we wait for that answer... What do you have in mind? Is it time for an OH? What are the differences between the two? Best regards, -a- Quote
Captnmack Posted March 14, 2019 Author Report Posted March 14, 2019 I bought a low time J engine ( A3B6 ) and Cowling setup. My A1A was dormant for years and it’s a candidate for Overhaul anyway. Lasar sells the STC to swap over to the Counter-Weighted but reaching out to anyone that actually has done this. I’m going to try and use the 201 ( J ) cowl as well. Quote
charlesual Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 My F has the 201 with the A3B6. Previous owner did it. I’m at KJYO if you’re close enough. Happy to answer any questions. CharlieSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
carusoam Posted March 15, 2019 Report Posted March 15, 2019 By Mooney standards... TX to VA isn’t all that far... Best regards, -a- Quote
corn_flake Posted October 6, 2019 Report Posted October 6, 2019 My 69 M20E also had A1A once upon a time. Previous owner changed to a A3B6 a while back. What do you want to know? Quote
Captnmack Posted October 10, 2019 Author Report Posted October 10, 2019 To the two previous posters that have the A3B6 installed. What prop are you running, which cowl and overall opinion? I’m thinking about selling the Firewall Forward package I bought last spring.. Quote
corn_flake Posted October 11, 2019 Report Posted October 11, 2019 I can't offer opinion since I never flown A1A in a Mooney. I'm running Mccauley Propeller and here is the info. Hub Model: B2D34C214 Blade Design: 90DHB-16E Cowl is stock with mod to cover the lower half. Quote
ilikethewoods Posted October 11, 2019 Report Posted October 11, 2019 How much ya thinking of selling that A1A for, I’m interested but I only need the case. Quote
