Moving the MFD or GPS to pilots side

I’m always thinking about panel layouts. Recently thinking about moving a larger GPS to a front and center location. Similar to the picture below but using a Garmin 750 instead. It gives up space for round gauges but brings important info into the scan area. 

Thoughts?  Easier to reach to the right vs in front?
