M72 to 1J0, 281 miles in 1.5 hours.riding the tail wind of a cold front between wide layers. Of corse today we have a direct headwind to make up for the ground speed we saw yesterda.

1J0 is in the panhandle of Florida. I didn’t get a picture of it but the wind sock is hanging in threads.

Congratulations!  I’ve made that drive before. They are all awful. I always feel better physically after flying a trip instead of driving.

First official trip is officially over! Took 2 hours at 6,500 to get home almost a direct head wind at usually 11 - 16 knots. Not too bad, we still made ground speed of what my 180 Cherokee did with a good tail-wind!

When I first got the Mooney Mrs. Steingar hated it.  Didn't like the shoulder belts, didn't like the seat, didn't like how you get in, said over and over again she  missed the Cherokee.  Then I got us back from D.C. in two hours.  She is a hater no more.
