Concorde battery

$612 with tax for a new one for my 24V J. Word is out how long these things have been lasting, & the prices are up accordingly.

Old one almost 7 yrs old. No tender, but regularly flown & FL & CA it's life. Sat 10 days or so last month & start power wasn't crisp. JPI shows 23.1V after sitting 3 days in mild wx. But paranoid about getting stuck. Plus want to have a strong batt if alt quits IFR.

Also 23.1v on the bus is likely around 23.5 at the battery. But that’s only about a 25% charge. Try the battery minder for a couple weeks then a capacity test. Then call Aircraft Spruce. Over 500$ is free shipping. A couple cases of oil will put it over the limit.

Guess I wasn't clear. New one already  purchased and installed! After 7 yrs & a few signs, it was time. Not gonna mess with tests that will just prove the obvious. Just impressed on the longevity of the battery. And for $612, hope the new one lasts as long!
